ITL Graduation 2013, Shanghai

The Graduation Ceremony of WMU's M.Sc. Program in International Transport and Logistics (ITL), Class of 2013, was held in Shanghai on 24 August. A total of 32 graduates from China, Indonesia, Greece, India and the USA attended the ceremony together with their families and friends. This ceremony marked the eighth graduation of the M.Sc. program which has been delivered by WMU in collaboration with Shanghai Maritime University (SMU) since 2005.

President Bjorn Kjerfve and Vice President International Shuo Ma were in attendance from WMU, and from SMU, President Huang Youfang, Vice President Jin Yongxing, Dean of the Transportation College Prof. Shi, and the Director of the International Cooperation Department of SMU Ms. Yu Hongrong. SMU faculty members who were involved in the teaching or supervision of the ITL program also participated in the event along with the ITL 2014 students. President Kjerfve conferred the degrees. Mr. Christos Masouridis received Chancellor's Medal for Academic Excellence, and Mr. Xi Qiong and Mr. Zhan Hengliang received Best Research Paper awards.
